Closure due to snow - Information

Dear Parents/Carers,

In order to save on phone calls being made on a daily basis in case of future closures due to the weather, Stanford Pre-­‐school will advertise our closure on Fox VHF/FM 102.6, a list is also available on their website which can be found at: www.foxfm.co.uk.

Additionally we will announce the closure on Stanford Pre-­‐school’s website:

www.stanfordpreschool.org

Due to staffing difficulties, if Stanford Primary school is closed it is likely that Stanford Pre-­‐school will also be closed. Stanford Primary school advertise their closure on BBC Radio Oxford VHF/FM 95.2 and on Fox VHF/FM 102.6.

What an exciting time for Pre-school. On 10th May we had an impromptu inspection from OFSTED.  Their report was issued to us on 27th May and we have been awarded OUTSTANDING.  We have been told that there are only 2 other Pre-schools in Oxfordshire with this high accolade. Committee would like to say a huge thank you to the staff for their commitment to Pre-school and to the children. The report will be either emailed or printed and issued to all parents shortly.  You will also be able to see it on the OFSTED website (link is on this site's Welcome page).
 

Opening of the new Pre-School Building!

This week, our brand new building is open for business! A huge thank you to everything who gave their time, money and effort to make this possible. The building is a tremendous asset for the village and will provide teaching for many hundreds of children over the coming years.

New Manager

The Committee are very happy to inform you that we have a new manager as of this term.

Sarah Waite, who some of you may remember, has accepted the position and we are delighted to have her onboard.

 

We are looking forward to a very happy 2011 for the Pre-School with a beautiful new building and an exceptional manager at the helm.

Disco

A 60s/70s/80s disco is planned for the 28th March 2009 in the village hall with a bar. The tickets are £5 and will be on sale soon.

A warm welcome to our new staff member, Karen, who has just started at Stanford Pre-school! Karen is studying for her NVQ3 Playwork and we hope parents will support her in this endeavour.
